Industry insights from Douglas E. Noll
We asked Noll to flex his legal expertise by answering a few questions on financing for business owners.
What common mistakes do small business owners make when looking for financing?
“They don’t seek out credit lines when they are making money. The best time to seek financing is when you do not need it.”
What steps should business owners take before looking into financing?
“Consult a good business lawyer and tax and business accountant. The cost of a consultation might be $2,500 or more, but it will save you much more in the long run.”
How has the new normal of working from home changed the way companies do business?
“Managing and motivating staff is different and perhaps more challenging. Teaching employees how to be disciplined while working from home should be a priority.”
