Chase Freedom Unlimited® vs Discover it® Cash Back
Do you want flat cash back or rotating categories?
The Chase Freedom Unlimited® earns a flat 1.5% cashback rate on all purchases and 6.5% back on Lyft rides until March 31, 2022. The Discover it® Cash Back on the hand, earns a 5% cashback rate on up to $1,500 in rotating quarterly categories. It earns 1% back after that and on all other purchases. Another consideration is the welcome offer: Chase offers an additional 1.5% back on all purchases on up to $20,000 spent within your first year of account opening while Discover it® Cash Back will match all cash back you earned at the end of the first year of account opening.
