Our verdict

Large cash advances for gig workers, but its fees are more expensive than other apps.

Ualett (pronounced “wallet”) offers cash advances up to $2,500. It’s designed specifically for gig workers, freelancers, independent contractors and small businesses, and there’s no credit check to qualify. It functions like most cash advance apps, although advances are much larger, and it gives you 8 or 10 weeks to repay it. Plus, you can reschedule your payment date if needed. But it’s not for W-2 employees, and it charges a factor fee up to 24% of your advance amount, with payment due on a weekly basis. It also doesn’t support most digital banks, which could be a stumbling block for some gig workers.

Best for: Gig workers, independent contractors, rideshare drivers, truck drivers and small businesses who need a fast no-credit-check advance.

  • Cash advances up to $2,500

Is Ualett legit?

Yes, Ualett is a legit cash advance provider. It’s operated by Cabicash Solutions Inc., and is headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware. Founded in 2018, the company now has more than $485,000 users across 49 states.

What makes Ualett shine?

  • Specific to gig workers and small businesses. Ualett gets that not everyone has a consistent income stream, which can make it hard to qualify for traditional credit. And it answers that problem with a product built specifically for those types of workers.
  • Large advances. Even apps that are gig-worker friendly typically max out around $500. But Ualett’s advances reach as high as $2,500, making it possible for users to quickly cover major expenses like car repairs or equipment purchases.
  • No credit check. Ualett analyzes your cash flow rather than your credit history, making advances more accessible to people with less-than-stellar credit scores.
  • Flexible repayment terms. Most cash advances are repaid within a couple of weeks, but Ualett offers two loan terms: 8 or 10 weeks. You can pay it off sooner if you want, but the longer loan terms give you some breathing room when you need it. You can also choose your remittance date and extend it if needed.

Where Ualett falls short

  • Factor fees up to 24%. Ualett is a little expensive compared to other cash apps, particularly those that are virtually free. It charges a flat fee that ranges from 21% to 24% of the advance, according to a customer service representative.
  • Limited banks supported. Unfortunately, reviewers report that the app doesn’t support most online banks. This limitation might be a problem for gig workers, who very often use digital banks rather than brick-and-mortar financial institutions.
  • Not for W-2 workers. If you have a regular job, you’re not eligible to apply for a Ualett advance.

Ualett reviews and complaints

BBB accredited No
BBB rating F
BBB customer complaints 2 customer complaints
Trustpilot Score 4.9 out of 5 stars, based on 4,628 customer reviews
App Store Score 4.9 out of 5 stars, based on 21,700 customer reviews
Google Play Score 4.8 out of 5 stars, based on 5 customer reviews
Customer reviews verified as of 30 October 2025

Ualett’s Better Business Bureau (BBB) page has no reviews and shows only two complaints, which it didn’t respond to, resulting in an F rating. But it’s highly rated on other review sites, such as the app stores and Trustpilot. Positive reviews say that customer service is excellent and the process is fast and easy. People are also pleased with the high advance amounts and the affordable payments.

But it has its fair share of complaints, too. One common criticism is that it doesn’t support most online banks, such as Chime, Cash App or Uber and DoorDash bank accounts, which many reviewers point out are very common in the gig worker economy. Others point to high rates, weekly payments and a longer-than-expected process to get verified, approved and funded. There are also a lot of reports that it’s a glitchy app.

What do people on Reddit say?

Some people on Reddit say Ualett is a great option for gig workers who either don’t have a consistent income or have poor credit. They’re also pleased with the size of advances as compared to other cash advance apps. But others say the rates are on the high side, and they don’t love having to make weekly payments.
