Masterpass is a digital wallet from Mastercard that lets you check out faster at eligible online retailers. To use it, you’ll need an account at the Masterpass website with information such as your card details and shipping address. Then, use the account for payments by simply logging in.
Despite its name, Masterpass is compatible with more than simply Mastercard products. You can also add most credit, debit and prepaid cards from Visa, American Express, Discover and Diners Club.
What are the fees to use Masterpass?
While Mastercard has stopped accepting new signups for Masterpass, there was no signup fee. If you currently have the service, there are zero fees associated to use it.

- Visit src.mastercard.com/profile/enroll.
- Fill out the New User form with your personal and credit card info.

- Visit participating merchants and select Masterpass at check out.
What sets Masterpass apart?
Masterpass is very similar to Visa Checkout — it lets you add credit and debit cards from a variety of networks. In that sense, it has an advantage over Amex Express Checkout, which lets you use Amex cards only.
How do I use Masterpass online?
Look for the Masterpass logo when checking out at a participating retailer. Then enter the email or mobile number associated with your Masterpass account, along with your password.
You’ll see your credit card information and shipping address. Verify your details are correct, then finalize your transaction.
