Most loyalty programs allow you to transfer your points to a spouse or other individuals and Chase Ultimate Rewards is no different. However, Chase has two main restrictions you should be aware of to avoid losing your points.

Rules for sharing Chase points

Restrictions on transferring points depend on where you’re transferring them – to another person’s loyalty program, or simply to another person’s Chase account.

Transferring Chase points to another person’s loyalty program

If you plan on transferring points to another person’s loyalty program, that person must be listed as an authorized user on your credit card account. That person will then be the only authorized user who can receive point transfers to their loyalty program.

Points transferred to loyalty programs must be moved in 1,000-point increments.

Transferring Chase points to another Chase account

Moving points from your account to another person’s Chase account is a little more forgiving. You can transfer your points to another Ultimate Rewards card that you own, or an Ultimate Rewards card that belongs to a member of your household.

How to transfer Chase Points to another person

Transferring your Chase points to another Chase account is a straightforward process.

  1. Log in to your Chase account and select the Chase card you wish to transfer points from.
  2. Click on Redeem rewards to enter the Ultimate Rewards page.
