How to use the Chase shopping portal
Shop at participating stores to maximize your Chase points.
How does the Chase shopping portal work?
If you own an eligible card, you can use the portal to earn anywhere from 1x up to 15x points on purchases at participating stores. This goes on top of the rewards you already earn with your card. However, you only earn points when you shop online and not on in-store purchases.
What to watch out for
Watch out for these things when using the portal:
- Browser cookies. Make sure you have enabled browser cookies. Otherwise, your purchases may not be registered.
- Clicking out. Make sure you avoid visiting other websites between the Chase shopping portal and the store, as this could prevent the store from properly registering your purchase.
How to use the Chase shopping portal
Unlike similar shopping portals where anyone can sign up and start earning points, only Chase cardholders can access its portal. Once you have such a card:
- Go to the Chase Ultimate Rewards website.
- Log in with your username and password.
- Choose which card to use if you have multiple Ultimate Rewards cards.
- Click Earn points and then Shop through Chase.
- Find a store you want and start shopping.
How credit cards can help you earn points using the Chase shopping portal
You can only use eligible Chase Ultimate Rewards credit cards to shop through the portal. That means earning additional Chase Ultimate points per dollar.
Currently, the most-rewarding Chase credit card to use at the portal is the Chase Freedom Unlimited®. Using this card will earn you an additional 1.5x points on top of the rate of the specific offer, as opposed to the 1x points you would earn with all the other eligible Chase cards.
Can I use Chase Ultimate Reward points to make purchases within the program?
Unfortunately, no. You can only use US dollars within the Chase shopping program.

What retailers are available through the Chase shopping portal?
Other shopping portals have more than 900 participating stores. Chase has 360. But this doesn’t mean you don’t have a broad choice. You can still find most popular retailers through the portal, including:
- Under Armour
If you already own, or if you’re planning to get, a Chase Ultimate Rewards credit card, you can earn additional points by shopping at popular stores. However, if you don’t find this program particularly appealing, check out other rewards credit cards to compare your options.
