I have a loan from a lending club. I want to pay off with a lower apr. It’s $21,000. Is this a high amount for a credit card?

      Hi Leslie,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

Yes, transferring a balance worth $21,000 could be high enough to be transferred to a new credit card with a lower APR. When you apply for a new balance transfer credit card, you’ll be given a personalized credit limit which will depend on factors like your credit score, income, etc. Your credit limit affects how much you can balance transfer because your balance transfer limit is usually 90% or 95% of your credit card limit.

If you are looking into consolidating your debts with a large balance transfer, you can compare credit cards with high balance transfer limits that might work for you. Aside from balance transfer credit card, you can also consolidate your debt with a personal loan.

      Best regards,
      Rench
