What are the best credit cards for concierge services?
Let your credit card concierge recommend or book travel and dining arrangements.
A credit card concierge service acts as your personal assistant. The service includes helping with travel planning, finding event tickets, arranging dinner reservations and finding and sending a gift. Among credit card benefits, concierge service is most often found on higher-end card offerings. There’s no extra cost to use this feature unless you authorize the concierge to make a purchase in your name.
Finder’s credit card experts compared more than 100 credit cards that offer concierge services and accounted for the value of the welcome offer, annual fee, the rewards rate and any additional perks and features. Once we narrowed down the options, we ran a few tests ourselves and we looked at customer reviews and experiences with specific concierge services before selecting the winners in every category.
We ran the tests: Which service came out on top?
To get a better idea of how these concierge services differed, we put them to the test. Three members of the Finder team called their card’s concierge service and asked for the availability of a specific product.
Luxury Card, Chase and American Express concierge services were all included in these tests, and we all called at exactly the same time to see which could fulfill our request faster. Our request was the same across four tests, but the products we asked for differed in each: toilet paper, yeast, kettlebells and condoms.
Read on to learn the full results on each, but in short, the Luxury Card concierge offered what was often the fastest and most convenient service. However, the differences between each credit card issuers’ services were ultimately rather small and all managed to admirably fulfill our requests.

How to choose the best credit card concierge service
To choose the right credit card for the concierge service, here’s what to consider:
Annual fee. As a general rule — the higher the card’s annual fee, the better the concierge service. That said, expect to pay $550 annually or more for your card to enjoy the best concierge service.
Quality of concierge service. Finder ran a few experiments during the coronavirus pandemic in April 2020 to see whether some concierge services would deliver. It turned out not all concierge services are equal. Some can fulfill your needs, while others may fall short.
Rewards. A solid concierge service is definitely useful. But also, why not get something back for your credit card purchases? Choose the card that offers rewards in the categories where you spend most.
What concierge credit card programs are there?
There are five credit card concierge service programs. However, if you don’t have a good credit score, some credit card providers will issue a lower-tier version of the card without concierge service. For example, instead of getting a Visa Signature card, you could receive a Visa Platinum card.
World Mastercard, World Elite Mastercard and Luxury Card Travel
Need to get in touch with your concierge service? Here’s the contact information and phone numbers for each, along with a link to our full concierge guides.
The value of the service you receive from a concierge can vary across cards. Most travel credit cards with a decent concierge service should be good enough to meet your needs.
But sometimes, your concierge will go the extra mile for you — as reflected in the card’s annual fee. The best concierge service comes with cards priced at $550 or higher.
But if you want to have the best concierge service, then the ultra-premium Luxury Card Mastercard® Gold Card™ is the way to go.
Concierge service vs. Siri, Alexa or Google
If you’re looking for simple information available online, there’s no need to reach out to your concierge. Asking Siri, Alexa or Google will likely get you the same information. That said, a device can’t compete talking to a real person who can help meet your needs and understand the complexities of a request.
Bottom line
If you’re a frequent traveler, you might consider prioritizing concierge services when looking at various travel cards. It’s convenient, easy, and all you have to do is call for the concierge to assist you. You can ask for travel recommendations and arrangements, dining reservations, help finding and sending gifts or flowers and more.
However, concierge services are usually tied to premium cards. If you’re not sure you qualify for a luxury card, research which travel card is worth it and within your financial means.
Frequently asked questions
Which credit cards have the best concierge service? Typically, more expensive cards with annual fees between $450 and $550 have a dedicated concierge.
How much extra do I need to pay for credit card concierge services? The concierge service on your credit card is an added feature included in the annual fee, if applicable. But you have to pay for third-party services and items you receive.
When can I call the concierge? Most credit card concierge services are available 24/7.
