How do I use Uber Eats?
To use Uber Eats, simply download the app to you iPhone or Android and enter your physical address to see a list of restaurants in your area that are offering takeout food via Uber Eats.
You add items to your cart by swiping them in and when you’re ready to order, just pay with your existing Uber account. You never have to perform a financial transaction with your Uber Eats driver.
You can even follow your order on the app as it’s prepared and picked up by a delivery driver. The app will show a grid map connecting your address to the restaurant via the GPS in the driver’s phone. This shows you the route being taken and constantly updating estimated time of arrival as well.

What do I do if I have a food allergy?
If you’d like your order modified or an ingredient removed, you can request to do so in the “Special Instructions” field before you make payment on your app. Uber Eats asks its member restaurants to call customers if they’re unable to fulfill any special instructions. If your allergy is severe or life-threatening, take the time to call the restaurant before you order to ensure they’re aware of your allergy and can properly accommodate you.
What does the “busy fee” on my app mean?
A busy fee is generated when there are more people using the app in a certain area than there are available Uber Eats drivers on the road. When the number of orders and number of drivers reaches an equilibrium, the busy fee will vanish.
Think of it as an incentive for Uber Eats drivers to pickup your order and deliver it within a reasonable amount of time no matter how busy they are.
