When are state taxes due in 2025?
In most states, taxes are due on April 15th, 2025, matching the federal deadline, though there are a few exceptions that give you extra time to file. And while nine states don’t have a state income tax, some may still tax investment income above a certain threshold. If you’re not sure where you stand, it’s always a good idea to check with a tax pro to avoid any surprises.
If you live in an area impacted by a natural disaster, the IRS may give you extra time to file and pay your federal taxes.
