As a foriegner in New York, I think the feeling of being an outsider and joining is even more intense. Its almost like a heat that takes you over and engulfs your body. Usually the first question someone asks you is “Are you just visiting?” That is the true litmous test of if you are a local or not. And there is no greyline. You either live in New York or you Dont.
