Amazon Prime Day Shopping Statistics 2021

An estimated 1.2 million Singaporean adults plan to shop the Amazon Prime Day sales.

24% of Singaporean adults – an estimated 1.2 million people – plan to shop on Amazon Prime Day 2021, according to Finder’s Amazon Prime Day shopping report. We polled a convenience sample of 1,002 Singaporean adults to find out what they plan to buy.

About half of those planning to shop during Prime Day 2021 will buy an Amazon product or service

11% of Singaporeans say they plan to buy an Amazon product, such as a Kindle or an Echo, or an Amazon service like Amazon Prime. 9% of Singaporean adults say they’ll buy a tech product and 4% say they’ll buy a service, while 2% of people plan to buy both.

Elsewhere, 12% are planning purchases outside of Amazon, with 4% saying they’ll buy a tech product, 3% planning to buy clothing, accessories and makeup, and 3% planning to buy products for the home.

More men plan to shop Amazon Prime Day

26% of men plan to shop Amazon Prime Day, compared to 19% of women. Men are more likely to buy products across all categories, with the exception of clothing, accessories and makeup. The biggest difference in spending can be seen in Amazon tech products, with men outbuying women by 5 percentage points.

Those aged 25-34 plan to shop Amazon tech

Those aged 45-54 are the most likely to shop on Prime Day (27%), followed by those aged 25-34 (24%) and 35-44 (22%). Singaporeans aged 25-34 are most likely to purchase Amazon tech products (12%), whereas people aged 45-54 are most likely to purchase Amazon services (5%).
