New Year’s Eve cruises in Auckland

  • Ocean Groove Cruises: Celebrate the year to come by climbing aboard the New Year’s Eve Fireworks Cruise. Enjoy a live DJ, dance floor, canapés and one free drink. The party starts at 9pm and runs through until 1am. Tickets start from $210 per person.
  • Amada Cruises: Jump aboard this adults-only NYE cruise around Auckland’s Harbour to enjoy prime views of both the Sky Tower fireworks and the Harbour Bridge laser show. Boarding begins at 8.30pm, where you will be greeted with a glass of bubbly and canapés. Later on, enjoy a buffet supper and access to a licensed bar on board. Tickets on sale from 1 December.

  • Britomart Block Party: Stretching across 9 venues, this is the biggest 18+ New Year’s Eve party in Auckland. It allows ticket holders to hop from venues such as Side Door, AV Club and Roukai Lane. Tickets from $70.

  • The Social Unfit: Kicking off at 10pm, this luxurious NYE party has everything you need to bring in the new year.   • NYE on Rooftop at QT: If there’s one place you need to be on New Year’s Eve to catch the fireworks in style, it’s a rooftop. The QT in Auckland has a fabulous one. It’s making the most of it with a rooftop party with Mediterranean nibbles and beverage packages. Prices from $299pp.

  • Revelry presents NYE Party: DJs will play and you shall dance the night away at Revelry this evening. Book a bottomless package and food, drinks and entry will be included. Otherwise, it’s $10 to get your feet on the dance floor.
  • Kong VIP New Year’s Eve 2021 Countdown: Dance and electronica not your style? Kong is all about those sweet hip hop and R&B tunes. Dance along with Soultre, Gregg Harpur, TDK and Chachi from 9pm to 4am. Tickets from $20pp.
  • Vogue 2021: Madonna won’t be there but that doesn’t mean you can’t capture her moves at this swanky do which will be filled with Bollywood, Hip Hop and Bhangra. Tickets from $48.67 + bf.
  • New Year’s Eve at Riverhead: Get your hands up and dance to the music of Coco-Rocky until the clock ticks over. You know you want to. Tickets $35pp.
  • The Year That Was @ Saxon + Parole: Celebrate (or just say farewell) to the year that was and cheers to bigger and better days in 2021 with this New York-inspired gala event. Tickets from $120 though you can upgrade to include a bottle of champagne for $220.

  • The Poni Room: Resident chef Fred Wong is inviting you to a mythical journey through the sea over two seated dinners at Poni Room. Prepare for an immersive feast and show followed by disco balls, countdowns and cocktails. Tickets $99pp.
  • Onslow: End the year on a high at Onslow’s inaugural New Year’s Eve dinner. On top of a 4-course or 5-course meal, complete with that mandatory glass of Lauren Perrier, late seated diners will adore the view of the Sky Tower and the sparklers at midnight. Prices $170 (first sitting, 4 courses), $220 (second sitting, 5 courses).
