Role Overview

As a Data Analyst at Finder, you will partner with stakeholders to build scalable infrastructure, datasets and dashboards for the comparison business. This will support data-driven decisions and insights that translate directly to accelerate business growth and product improvement.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the product, engineering, client services and publishing teams to support their decision making process with facts, insights and recommendations.
  • Gather the requirements and determine the best course of action for analysis.
  • Define a robust set of datasets and dashboards to support key business processes, e.g., forecasting, quarterly business planning etc.
  • Use the data to identify insights to inform hypotheses and test ideas.
  • Plan, and prioritise insights that drive Finder targets.
  • Analyse and evaluate A/B tests, report on results and recommend next steps.
  • Build and maintain self-serve dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Train crew with dashboards / self serve analytics when needed.
  • Support company growth by discovering, analysing and communicating the critical user behavioural data.

Essential Requirements

  • List the must-have skills, experience, or qualifications.
  • Experience working with large-scale data sets.
  • Experience of data analysis, cleaning or visualisation (for example using SQL, Python, spreadsheets or other technologies).
  • Experience in data modelling.
  • Experience with Enterprise Digital Analytics such as Snowplow, GA4.
  • Experience with modern data warehousing solutions (we use BigQuery).
  • Admirable team player qualities, including being collaborative, respectful, and service focused.
  • A willingness to learn and apply innovative data analytics methodologies.
  • A genuine passion for data and drive to communicate using data.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills and expertise.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with dbt
  • Familiarity with GitHub
  • Solid grasp of applied statistics
  • Deep understanding of building and maintaining data pipelines and assets, through robust change control.
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment, navigate ambiguity, and bring clarity and structure as you go.
  • Ability to create and foster strong cross-functional networks and manage without authority.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
