WorldRemit offers the flexibility of paying from your bank account or with a credit or debit card, and your recipient can receive the funds as a bank account or mobile wallet deposit or pick it up as cash from one of more than 30,000 agent locations worldwide.

Compared to other transfer services, WorldRemit stands out as one of the fastest ways to get cash overseas. In the time it takes for your recipient overseas to get to an agent location, you could sign up for an account on the easy-to-use website and set up your transfer from your bank or card. It’s that quick and easy.

    Airtime only states

Currently, the following states can only send airtime top up, not money transfers: Louisiana, New York.

    WorldRemit is best for:

    • Convenience. Easily send money overseas from your computer, smartphone or tablet.
    • Upfront fees. You’ll learn exactly what you’ll be paying before you make the transfer.
    • Confidence. WorldRemit has millions of happy customers.
    • Multiple transfer options. Choose from a bank deposit, cash pickup, mobile money or an airtime top-up.

    How much does WorldRemit cost?

How much you’ll pay to send money through WorldRemit depends on where you are sending the money and how much you are sending. For example, with today’s exchange rates, sending $800 USD to Australia will cost you $3.99; while sending that same amount to Botswana will cost you $13.99.

But WorldRemit’s fees are transparent: You’ll see them when you’re calculating or making a transfer, so you won’t incur hidden or undisclosed charges. Your bank might also charge you extra fees for SWIFT transfers, typically $15 to $30. Ask your bank about their standard fee for international money transfers.

What is the maximum amount that can be sent to Nigeria from the USA? I have sent $10 before, can I still send $2300 to the same person without my account been disabled?

        Hello Marley,

        Thank you for your comment.

A maximum of NGN 7,000,000 per day. There may be lower limits depending on the country where you are sending from and the payment method used to fund the transfer.

Upon checking, the maximum amount to send from USA to Nigeria is 9000USD. You can still send the money to the same person as long as the total amount will not exceed the limit.

        Hi Rochelle,

Thanks for getting in touch with finder.

There are different reasons that a WorldRemit account is disabled and one of them is for security purposes. They do have the prerogative to disable any account at will.

If you want to know the reason why your account was disabled, you may directly get in touch with WorldRemit. You can reach them by phone or email.

I hope this helps. Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach us out again.

        Hi Jeff,

        Thanks for getting in touch.

I’m afraid that with Worldremit you cannot send money from the Bahamas to the Philippines. You might like to reconsider other options though, like Western Union, MoneyGram, etc. Please visit the official website of the provider to find out the associated fees for sending money.

        Cheers,

        RenchMarch 22, 2018Staff

        Hi Elisabeth,

        Thank you for your inquiry.

As I’ve checked, 10,705 USD is equal to 8,677.90 Euros. Please note that this is subject to change. While for the transfer fee and exchange rates from World Remit, the transfer fee varies with the amount that you will transfer and the exchange rate changes from time to time.

I suggest going to WorldRemit official site by clicking on the green ‘Go to site’ button on this page and enter details of your money transfer. Once you have signed up and filled out the form online for WorldRemit money transfer, it will show you the total amount that you’ll be paying before you make the transfer. This will include upfront fees and exchange rate info.

        Best regards,
        Rench
