Finder Crypto Debit and Crypto Credit Card Awards 2022

The Finder Crypto Debit Cards and Crypto Credit Cards Awards recognize crypto card products that offer the best value for consumers and have continued to thrive despite a tumultuous 2022 crypto market.

Finder’s banking and credit card experts reviewed more than 20 crypto card products on the market, rating each one based on over 10 criteria associated with debit cards, credit cards and cryptocurrency.

Products that rated highest in a given category earned the winning placement for our awards, with those coming close landing our “highly commended” picks.

Here are our inaugural winners for 2022.

Best Crypto Credit Card: BlockFi Card

The BlockFi Bitcoin Rewards Credit Card was among the first crypto credit cards on the market and remains the best example of what a well-rounded and useful crypto credit card looks like. It offers up to a $100 signup bonus in crypto and several perks associated with holding and trading crypto — features that competitors have been unable or unwilling to replicate. Spend $30,000 on your card in a year, and BlockFi boosts your rewards rate from 1.5% to 2% on all eligible purchases.

Finder Awards 2022 methodology: Crypto debit cards

Our editorial experts analyzed 22 crypto debit cards available to US residents as of August 2022. We excluded the Voyager Debit Card after the company filed for bankruptcy in July 2022.

We evaluated each crypto debit card based on six metrics:

  1. Cashback rewards. We considered whether the card offers cashback rewards in fiat or cryptocurrency
  2. Supported cryptocurrencies. We looked at the number of cryptocurrencies the card supports.
  3. Deposit methods. We considered the number of deposit methods available.
  4. ATM transaction fee. We looked at how much cardholders pay to use an ATM.
  5. Interest. We considered whether the crypto debit card earns yields on deposits and looked at the first tiered APY for comparison.
  6. Editor’s rating. Frank Corva, crypto and digital assets writer at Finder, assessed and rated all crypto debit cards based on the above features.

We weighted the Overall Award metrics as shown, using the total of all weighted scores for the winner and two finalists:
