Finder takes your security and privacy seriously. We protect your personal data — everything from your name and address to your financial details — using security best practices and advanced encryption standards that safeguard your data from the moment you share it with us.

Bank-level security
We use the same security technology as the big banks. We use a variety of methods to secure our data and servers, from bare metal servers to the application in your browser.
End-to-end encryption
We encrypt all communications using a robust 2048bit TLS certificate. Cookies are TLS only, and all details are stored using a cryptographic protocol.
Anomaly Detection
Our partnership with Auth0 provides an extra layer of security to the Finder app by enabling shields that protect against different types of attacks and detect user access anomalies.
Identity protection and access
We limit the collection of personally identifiable information. Your details allow a one-way connection with your bank, authorizing the Finder app to retrieve your transaction history and balances only.
Your bank details
We encrypt and store your bank account information as soon as you enter them.
Read-only service
While you can organize and analyze your finances with the Finder app, you can’t move money in or out of any account.
Physical security
Our servers and data are stored across data centers that are manned nonstop by onsite security and surveillance, biometric security access, locked cages, motion detection and light sensors.
Take control of your data
We don’t make it hard for you to remove your data and details from the Finder app yourself for any reason.

- Why do I need to connect my bank accounts?
The Finder app helps you keep your money in one place. By linking your bank accounts, you can more easily see where your money is going — and we can learn ways for you to save based on your actual spending.
- How does the Finder app protect my information?
The Finder app uses the encryption algorithm AES256-CBC to keep your data secure. We restrict and audit access to ensure that your information is protected.
- What security features does the Finder app offer?
The Finder app uses a certified identity platform for secure authentication. It’s password protected with an optional fingerprint login, and the app automatically logs you out when you close it. We also notify you if we suspect your account has been breached or we detect unusual activity.
- Can my money be stolen with my Finder app password?
No. The Finder app does not allow anybody to see your bank login information or access your connected accounts.
- Do you sell, trade or otherwise share my personal information?
No. We will not share any information you provide for the Finder app without your permission.
