WorldRemit partners with different providers in each country, but common cash pickup locations include places like drugstores, grocery stores and banks.

For example, if you send a cash pickup transfer to the Philippines, it can be collected from:

  • Over 2,200 branches of Cebuana Lhuillier

But if you’re sending money to Mexico, the cash can be collected from branches of:

  • Walmart
  • Superama
  • Bodega Aurrera

How do I collect cash from a WorldRemit location?

You can collect a cash transfer by visiting a WorldRemit location. You’ll need to take the following:

  • Proof of ID. You’ll need a government-issued ID, such as a passport or driver’s licence. The name displayed on your ID will need to match the name provided by the sender.
  • Transfer reference number. As a transfer recipient, this number will be sent to you by SMS (and in some cases email as well) once the cash is ready to be collected.

How do I send a cash pickup transfer to a WorldRemit location?

You’ll need to download the WorldRemit mobile app and provide your email address, mobile number and password to create an account. You can then send a transfer by completing the following steps:

  1. Select the country where you would like to send money and enter the amount you want to transfer.
  2. Review the exchange rate and fee that will apply.
  3. Select the receive method.
  4. Enter your recipient’s details, including their name, contact information and bank account details (if applicable).
  5. Select your payment method.
