How to get Alaska Lounge access and all locations

Take advantage of a lounge’s many amenities once you gain access.

Alaska Airlines has a reputation for great customer service and friendliness, and this extends to their airline lounge program. While there are no Alaska Lounge loactions in Canada, and just a handful scattered around the US, the lounges offer a range of useful amenities. And you’ll have access to a variety of partner lounges available around the world.

How to get in and pricing

There are two primary methods of getting into Alaska lounges: becoming an Alaska Lounge member or by purchasing a day pass.

Purchasing an Alaska Lounge membership

You can purchase one-year Alaska Lounge memberships online, in person or over the phone. You don’t have to be a US citizen to become an Alaska Lounge member. The cost of a one-year membership is dependent on your Alaska MVP status with renewals costing less than the initial price of membership.

Purchase a day pass

If you’re just passing through, or aren’t a Mileage Plan member, you can purchase a day pass for the Alaska Lounge for US$50 per person. These can only be purchased in person at the Alaska Lounge.

Alaska Lounge members can purchase day passes at a reduced rate for additional guests and family members not traveling with the member.

If you’re an MBNA Alaska Airlines World Elite Mastercard cardholder at the time of purchase, you may be eligible for a discount on an Alaska Lounge membership.

Lounge access requirements

To gain entry to the Alaska Lounge, you’ll need:

  • A valid membership card.
  • A same-day ticketed boarding pass on any carrier.
  • In some cases, you might be asked for a government-issued photo ID.

Compare credit cards with lounge access

While the MBNA Alaska Airlines World Elite Mastercard won’t give you complimentary lounge access, you may receive a discount.

Alaska Lounge partners with Priority Pass for some of its locations. With a Priority Pass membership you’ll not only get access to select Alaska Lounge locations, you’ll also be able to use many other airport lounges across the globe. Here are some credit card options that can get you complimentary lounge access with a Priority Pass membership.
