What we know about CRYP ETF

The Purpose Crypto Opportunities ETF began trading on Tuesday November 30, 2021 in Canada under the ticker symbols TSX:CRYP, TSX:CRYP.B and TSX:CRYP.U. The CRYP.B fund is Canadian dollar denominated while the TSX:CRYP.U version is US dollar denominated. Neither option is currency hedged.

Launched by Purpose Investments and headed by CEO/founder Som Seif, the fund is designed to give investors exposure to the cryptocurrency market by investing in companies that produce chips, own trading platforms on which crypto is exchanged and/or have sizeable crypto holdings. This could include companies like NVidia, Coinbase, Robinhood or Tesla.

Unlike other crypto-related ETFs managed by Purpose, such as the Bitcoin Yield ETF (BTCY) and the Ether Yield ETF (ETHY), this fund will not pay out monthly dividends.
