How to invest in the BTCX Bitcoin ETF

The CI Galaxy Bitcoin ETF (TSX:BTCX) has officially launched on Canada’s Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). This means you can now buy units in the ETF through a global stock broker or online share trading platform.

How to buy the BTCX ETF

What we know about BTCX ETF

The CI Galaxy Bitcoin ETF (“BTCX”) has traded on the TSX since March 9, 2021. Launched by CI Global Asset Management in partnership with Galaxy Fund Management, the fund provides an additional way to invest in bitcoin.

The ETF holds Bitcoin directly and is available in both Canadian and US dollar denominations. It trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the tickers BTCX.B (Canadian dollar-denominated) and BTCX.U (US dollar-denominated).
