TD Unlimited Chequing Account

With this plan, you get unlimited transactions per month. Manage your money easily while on the go with the TD app and request and send money with Interac e-Transfer, without incurring fees. A monthly fee of $16.95 applies, but you can maintain a minimum balance of $4,000 to waive it.

TD Every Day Chequing Account

The TD Every Day Chequing Account is your more budget-friendly everyday banking solution. This option is great if you won’t make more than 25 banking transactions per month and can keep the minimum balance of $0 needed to cancel out the monthly fee of $10.95.

TD Minimum Chequing Account

With a low monthly fee of $3.95 (or no fee for students and seniors) and in the bank needed to avoid paying it, the TD Minimum Chequing Account is a worthwhile choice for people who make less than 12 banking transactions per month and just need a chequing account to keep their money in.

The TD Student Chequing Account is a fantastic option for full-time post-secondary students that are working towards completing their education and are about to enter the workforce. This plan enables them to make 25 free transactions per month at the right price – $0 per month.

TD U.S. Daily Interest Chequing Account

If you’re looking to store your American dollars, theTD U.S. Daily Interest Chequing Account is an option for you. You’ll receive a daily interest rate if you have more than $0 in your account. You can easily transfer funds between your American and Canadian TD accounts and each transaction will incur a fee of US$1.25.

Types of TD chequing accounts available

TD offers a multitude of chequing account options for its customers. While each customer might be at different stages in their lives, TD does a great job of acknowledging this and offering choices for everyone. Here are some of them.

  • Minimum monthly balance. TD offers customers the ability to waive their monthly fee by maintaining a specific minimum balance in their chequing account. The minimum amount varies by each chequing account plan.
  • Transactions per month. Whether you’re banking once every month or every day, TD offers a variety of options with chequing account plans that give you flexibility to make a transaction as often as you feel like. Some plans have a fixed amount of transactions per month while others offer unlimited transactions.
  • No monthly fee. Whether you’re a student or someone who transacts frequently in American dollars, TD offers chequing accounts that have no monthly fee and do not require a minimum balance.
  • No ATM fees. In a few of its chequing account plans, TD will waive ATM fees either (or both) in Canada or in a foreign country.
  • Quick exchange. If you frequently deal with both Canadian and American money, TD offers expedited conversion services through a chequing account plan. However, you will have to pay a nominal fee on the amount in your account.
  • Fee rebate. Receive a rebate on the annual fees of select TD credit cards.
  • Fraud alerts. For customers who sign up for one of TD’s more well-regarded chequing account plans, you will be able to receive immediate notification in the event of suspicious transactions taking place with your account.

  • TD Internet and mobile banking. If you have a TD chequing account, you can access your account online through its online portal, TD EasyWeb. You can also download the TD mobile app and access your chequing account via your smartphone. This enables you to manage your account, pay bills, send money transfers domestically and overseas, or apply for another TD product at any time, either online or via the app.
  • Pre-authorized payments. TD allows you to set up pre-approved payments so that you don’t forget to pay those monthly or yearly payments.
  • Online statements. If you want to know what’s going on with your account, you can have your chequing account’s online statements sent directly to your email inbox.
  • Free e-Transfer. With the exception of the TD Minimum Chequing Account, every other TD chequing account plan will not charge you for sending or receiving money via e-Transfer.
