Ipsos iSay has millions of members in over 50 countries around the world and more than 56,000 Trustpilot reviews. And, I tested the platform myself until I reached the minimum withdrawal and cashed out a $5 Amazon gift card.

What I like about Ipsos iSay

• Free and easy to use. There’s no fee to sign up for an Ipsos iSay account, and it’s quick and easy to get started.
• Simple way to earn some extra spending money. You can make money online with Ipsos iSay simply by sharing your opinions and answering questions about yourself.
• Highly rated mobile app. Ipsos iSay has a user-friendly mobile app that has an average rating of 4.6/5 based on over 126,000 Google Play reviews and 4.6/5 based on over 3,700 ratings on the Canadian Apple App Store.
• Redeem points for charitable donations. You have the option of redeeming your reward points for charitable donations to the Ipsos Foundation if you want to perform a good deed.
• Rewards are delivered instantly. Gift cards, prepaid cards and PayPal funds will be instantly delivered to your email. I can attest to this, as I received my first reward within seconds.

What to watch out for

• Not a big money earner. Like other online survey platforms, Ipsos iSay isn’t a way to make a fortune overnight, so don’t expect to be raking in the big bucks. In my experience, it took around two hours to earn 500 points or a $5 gift card, which only works out to earning $2.50 per hour.
• Getting disqualified from surveys. Every survey starts with a few pre-screening questions to determine whether you fit the target demographic. If you don’t meet the criteria, you’ll only earn five points and will be screened out before reaching the full survey — something that happened to me quite a few times.
• Gift card expiry. Gift cards expire between a few months and a few years after being issued. The expiration date is determined by the merchant that issues the card, so check the fine print.
• Waiting period for new users. New members must wait 96 hours after creating their Ipsos iSay account before they’re eligible to redeem rewards.

• Earning potential: 20 points ($0.20) per profile survey.

Contests and special offers

• How it works: From time to time, Ipsos iSay runs contests and special offers that give you the chance to earn bonus points or cash. What it's actually like to use Ipsos iSay

"I signed up for Ipsos iSay, downloaded the app and completed surveys at different times of the day to see how the process worked. Each survey has an estimated duration and the number of points you’ll earn when you complete it.

Once I selected a survey, I had to answer a few pre-screening questions to determine if I fit the target demographic. If I didn’t qualify, a message popped up saying I wasn’t eligible, but five points would be credited to my account. I’d say I was disqualified from roughly 30–40% of surveys. I liked that I still got credited for the pre-screening questions, but answering them sometimes took just as long as completing short, 5- to 10-minute surveys.

The estimated completion times were generally accurate (give or take 10 minutes), but the progress bar at the top of the screen didn’t always reflect reality. In many surveys, the bar didn’t move as progress depended on my answers. For example, I had to answer a survey about what I ate for dinner the night before, then answer questions about each ingredient in my meal. Since I had a fairly elaborate dinner with 10+ ingredients, the survey took me longer than it would for someone with a simpler meal and the progress bar just jumped from 0% to 100% after I answered the last question.

Overall, my experience with Ipsos iSay was straightforward and user-friendly, but I’m not sure it was worth my time. I only earned $5 after two hours of answering surveys, so this platform is best suited for earning small rewards rather than a meaningful income."

• Download the app. The Ipsos iSay mobile app is free to download to Android and iOS devices and makes it easy to complete surveys on the go.
• Make the most of your spare time. Whether you’re sitting in the car waiting to pick up the kids from school or killing time on the train to work, put your spare time to use by completing surveys.
• Sign up to multiple platforms. Becoming a member of multiple online survey sites provides you with more opportunities to fill out surveys and earn extra cash.
• Set up notifications. New surveys are typically available daily, so enabling email, app or browser notifications ensures you’re alerted as soon as a survey matches your profile.

Reviews for Ipsos iSay

Customer feedback on Trustpilot for Ipsos iSay is generally quite positive. People who leave positive feedback mention factors like the ease of completing surveys and redeeming rewards and the flexibility of being able to earn a little extra spending money in their spare time. Those who post negative reviews complain about being screened out of surveys, having their account terminated and experiencing difficulty claiming rewards.

On the Better Business Bureau, however, Ipsos iSay only has one negative review but nine complaints in the past three years. Most of these complaints relate to accounts being suspended or terminated without prior notice, with users reporting that they were unable to cash out the reward points remaining in their accounts.

Is Ipsos iSay safe?

Ipsos iSay says it adheres to strict privacy and data protection policies to keep your personal information safe. Your survey responses and personal data are sent over a secure, SSL-encrypted connection, and your personal details are never shared with anyone outside of Ipsos without your consent. The initial sign-up for Ipsos iSay only took me 5 minutes, but completing the necessary profile surveys took around 10 to 15 minutes. Here’s how you can sign up and get started on Ipsos iSay:

3. Enter your full name, gender and birth month and year before choosing Sign up.

How to get paid

You can redeem your Ipsos points by logging in to your account and selecting the Rewards tab at the top of the page. Click on the reward you want to view its full details and redeem your points. You should receive the reward in your email instantly. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder. If it’s not there, contact customer support.

Bottom line

Completing surveys through Ipsos iSay is a legitimate way to make money online. I found it easy to sign up, complete surveys and redeem my reward points for an Amazon gift card, but it won’t make you rich. It took me two hours to earn enough points for a $5 gift card, so it’s best suited for earning a little extra cash in your spare time rather than replacing a regular income.
