Ipsos iSay provides an easy way to make money online by completing surveys, but don't expect it to make you rich.
Ipsos iSay is a legit online survey site where you can make money by completing surveys. After using the platform myself, I found it easy to sign up and answer survey questions in return for reward points, which can then be redeemed for cash via PayPal, gift cards, prepaid cards and charitable donations.
However, it took me almost two hours to meet the minimum withdrawal requirement of 500 points, which typically only equates to $5, depending on the reward. So, if you go in expecting coffee money rather than rent money, it can be worth your time.

What is Ipsos iSay Canada?
Ipsos iSay is an online platform where Canadians can earn reward points by completing online surveys. The points you earn can then be redeemed for cash via PayPal or for a range of gift cards, prepaid cards and charitable donations.
Each point is worth 1 cent, so you can typically redeem 500 points for a $5 gift card. However, the number of points needed varies depending on the reward. For example, PayPal cash requires more points to cover transfer fees, while charitable donations to the Ipsos Foundation require fewer. Gift cards are available for Amazon.ca, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, virtual Visa prepaid cards and more.
Yes. Ipsos iSay is run by market research firm Ipsos. Founded in 1975, Ipsos is one of the world’s largest global market research companies.
Ipsos iSay has millions of members in over 50 countries around the world and more than 56,000 Trustpilot reviews. And, I tested the platform myself until I reached the minimum withdrawal and cashed out a $5 Amazon gift card.
What I like about Ipsos iSay
Free and easy to use. There’s no fee to sign up for an Ipsos iSay account, and it’s quick and easy to get started.
Simple way to earn some extra spending money. You can make money online with Ipsos iSay simply by sharing your opinions and answering questions about yourself.
Highly rated mobile app. Ipsos iSay has a user-friendly mobile app that has an average rating of 4.6/5 based on over 126,000 Google Play reviews and 4.6/5 based on over 3,700 ratings on the Canadian Apple App Store.
Redeem points for charitable donations. You have the option of redeeming your reward points for charitable donations to the Ipsos Foundation if you want to perform a good deed.
Rewards are delivered instantly. Gift cards, prepaid cards and PayPal funds will be instantly delivered to your email. I can attest to this, as I received my first reward within seconds.
What to watch out for
Not a big money earner. Like other online survey platforms, Ipsos iSay isn’t a way to make a fortune overnight, so don’t expect to be raking in the big bucks. In my experience, it took around two hours to earn 500 points or a $5 gift card, which only works out to earning $2.50 per hour.
Getting disqualified from surveys. Every survey starts with a few pre-screening questions to determine whether you fit the target demographic. If you don’t meet the criteria, you’ll only earn five points and will be screened out before reaching the full survey — something that happened to me quite a few times.
Gift card expiry. Gift cards expire between a few months and a few years after being issued. The expiration date is determined by the merchant that issues the card, so check the fine print.
Waiting period for new users. New members must wait 96 hours after creating their Ipsos iSay account before they’re eligible to redeem rewards.

How do you make money?
There are a few different ways to make money online with Ipsos iSay, and I tested them all.
Complete surveys
How it works: The main way to make money with Ipsos iSay is to complete surveys. Most are online questionnaires, and when there are surveys available for you, you can choose to be notified by email, app and browser notifications or by SMS. However, you may also be offered the chance to participate in live studies alongside other members, test products, join topic-based research groups and fill out activity journals.
Time and effort involved: Surveys generally take from 5 to 60 minutes.
Earning potential: Approximately $0.25 - $1.50 per survey.
How it works: Profile surveys are found on your Ipsos iSay dashboard and require you to answer simple questions about yourself. These surveys cover topics like whether you own any pets, your travel habits and the car you drive.
Time and effort involved: Profile surveys take a few minutes and minimal effort.
Earning potential: 20 points ($0.20) per profile survey.
Contests and special offers
How it works: From time to time, Ipsos iSay runs contests and special offers that give you the chance to earn bonus points or cash. To enter, you’ll typically need to perform certain tasks on the platform, such as filling out a certain number of surveys or redeeming points for a reward within a specified time period.
Time and effort involved: Varies.
Earning potential: Rewards vary depending on the offer.
Daily prize wheel
How it works: Once every 24 hours, you can spin a virtual prize wheel on the Ipsos iSay desktop site (not available on the app) for a 50% chance to win points.
Time and effort involved: Spinning the wheel only takes a few seconds and a simple click.
Earning potential: 25 to 300 points.
Refer a friend
How it works: Earn points by inviting friends to sign up to Ipsos iSay through the Refer a Friend program. You’ll be rewarded if your friend signs up using the unique link you send them.
Time and effort involved: It only takes a minute and minimal effort.
Earning potential: 100 points for every friend who joins, fills out their profile and completes a survey (limit of 10 referrals per month).
What it's actually like to use Ipsos iSay
"I signed up for Ipsos iSay, downloaded the app and completed surveys at different times of the day to see how the process worked. Each survey has an estimated duration and the number of points you’ll earn when you complete it.
Once I selected a survey, I had to answer a few pre-screening questions to determine if I fit the target demographic. If I didn’t qualify, a message popped up saying I wasn’t eligible, but five points would be credited to my account. I’d say I was disqualified from roughly 30–40% of surveys. I liked that I still got credited for the pre-screening questions, but answering them sometimes took just as long as completing short, 5- to 10-minute surveys.
The estimated completion times were generally accurate (give or take 10 minutes), but the progress bar at the top of the screen didn’t always reflect reality. In many surveys, the bar didn’t move as progress depended on my answers. For example, I had to answer a survey about what I ate for dinner the night before, then answer questions about each ingredient in my meal. Since I had a fairly elaborate dinner with 10+ ingredients, the survey took me longer than it would for someone with a simpler meal and the progress bar just jumped from 0% to 100% after I answered the last question.
Overall, my experience with Ipsos iSay was straightforward and user-friendly, but I’m not sure it was worth my time. I only earned $5 after two hours of answering surveys, so this platform is best suited for earning small rewards rather than a meaningful income."
Complete your profile. Add as much detail as possible to your profile and complete the profile surveys to ensure that you’re matched with relevant surveys. If your circumstances change, make sure to keep your profile up to date.
Download the app. The Ipsos iSay mobile app is free to download to Android and iOS devices and makes it easy to complete surveys on the go.
Make the most of your spare time. Whether you’re sitting in the car waiting to pick up the kids from school or killing time on the train to work, put your spare time to use by completing surveys.
Sign up to multiple platforms. Becoming a member of multiple online survey sites provides you with more opportunities to fill out surveys and earn extra cash.
Set up notifications. New surveys are typically available daily, so enabling email, app or browser notifications ensures you’re alerted as soon as a survey matches your profile.

I found the app a bit slow, and I came across one survey that could only be completed on the desktop site, but it was convenient for on-the-go use. That being said, you can’t spin the Daily Prize Wheel on the app, so you may still want to log on to the desktop site each day.

Bottom line
Completing surveys through Ipsos iSay is a legitimate way to make money online. It took me two hours to earn enough points for a $5 gift card, so it’s best suited for earning a little extra cash in your spare time rather than replacing a regular income.
