Cardano (ADA) price prediction October 2025

A panel of industry specialists gives us their predictions on the price of ADA to 2035.

Key Insights

  • 2025 price forecast: The panel predicts moderate growth for ADA, projecting it to reach $1.47 in 2025, $3.56 by 2030 and $7.00 by 2035.
  • Buy, sell or hold sentiment: Just a third of the experts (33%) say now is the time to buy ADA, while 44% say to sell.
  • ADA is overpriced: About two-fifths of the panel (42%) say ADA is currently overpriced.

This is not an endorsement of cryptocurrency or any specific provider, service or offering. It is not a recommendation to trade or use any services.

Our panel reveals why they think ADA will finish 2025 around $1.47 before climbing back up to $3.56 by 2030 and $7.00 by the end of 2035. All prices mentioned in this report are in US dollars.

Sathvik Vishwanath, the CEO of Unocoin Technologies, says you can expect ADA to hit $3.50 by the end of 2025 based on Cardano’s ongoing ecosystem development, Layer-2 scalability initiatives like Hydra and increasing staking participation.

While ADA’s current price reflects market sentiment and cautious adoption, successful protocol upgrades and developer tooling improvements can drive long-term value. Competitive pressures from other smart contract platforms are the primary risk to growth.

At the other end of the spectrum is Ruadhan O, the founder of Seasonal Tokens, predicting ADA to hit $0.80 in 2025 as its “currently at its support level close to $0.65 and is likely to be rangebound between there and $1 for the rest of the year.”

Is now the time to buy, sell, or hold ADA?

Only a third of the panel (33%) say that now is the time to buy ADA, with a touch over two-fifths (44%) saying it’s time to sell and about a fifth (22%) saying to hold.

Mitesh Shah, Founder and CEO of Omnia Markets and Quaerite, is in the buy camp, based on a “technological catch-up” thesis.

Historically, ADA’s price has often lagged its fundamental development, creating a potential valuation gap. The current roadmap, however, contains imminent catalysts that could close this gap. The official launch of Hydra 1.0.0 as a production-ready L2 scaling solution is a major milestone, with the potential to support over one million TPS in testing environments. Concurrently, progress on Ouroboros Leios aims to increase base-layer throughput to over 10,000 TPS dramatically.

Ben Ritchie, managing director of Alpha Node Global, is in favor of holding, saying that Cardano continues to trail competitors in developer activity and adoption.

While high staking rates limit selling pressure and upgrades like Hydra could boost usability, Cardano continues to trail competitors in developer activity and adoption. Its long-term potential depends on delivering upgrades and driving real user demand.

John Hawkins, Head of the Canberra School of Government at the University of Canberra, says it’s time to sell as ADA is losing its place in the market.

It is close to dropping out of the ‘top 10,’ being overtaken by tron and now valued much less than solana, which puts it at risk of no longer being in that ‘second tier’ of crypto below bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH). It has failed to establish any significant use case.

Is Cardano (ADA) overpriced, underpriced or priced fairly?

A little under a third of the panel (32%) say that Cardano is currently underpriced, with the remaining panel members either saying it’s fairly priced (26%) or overpriced (42%).

Kadan Stadelmann, CTO of Komodo Platform, says ADA is underpriced at the moment:

Cardano is [a crypto] that’s been around forever, but has not seen very much interest from the market despite the great foundational and technical work being done. I do believe, as the market shifts from being purely speculative to somewhat based on tangible data and success, ADA will get a spotlight shone on it.

Daniel Keller, the CEO of InFlux Technologies, says ADA is fairly priced and but may be on its last legs.

I think short-term, Cardano, with its heavy investment into ecosystem growth, will pump, but long-term, it might be dead in the water, as Cardano is an old Layer-1 playing catch-up with scaling solutions that have been out for years.

Johnny Gabriele, founder of Daedalus, says it’s overpriced, adding that “it’s not top of mind for those who work in blockchain.”

ETFs hold the key for ADA over the next 12 months

The largest segment of the panel (45%) says that exchange-traded fund (ETF) approval or macro-institutional investment is most likely to impact ADA adoption positively in the next 12 months.

Which upgrade will impact ADA’s adoption most over the next 12 months?

Close to half of the panel (45%) are unsure which of the newly approved $71M ADA upgrade roadmap will have the biggest impact on ADA’s adoption in the next 12 months.

What do you think would be the biggest barrier to Cardano achieving its Vision 2030 goals?

A third of the panel says that the biggest barrier to Cardano reaching its 2030 goals is either competition from faster-moving blockchains or a limited dApp ecosystem compared to rivals.

The ADA price is currently at its support level close to $0.65 and is likely to be rangebound between there and $1 for the rest of the year. Over the longer term, the EVM-compatible chains have an advantage over Cardano because of switching costs and lack of interoperability. Sidechains and Layer-2 development could make it possible for developers to port code to Cardano without rewriting, which could level the playing field.
