Is Uphold available in Canada?

No, as of June 11, 2025, customers in Canada can no longer open an Uphold account, and existing Canadian account balances are limited to CAD withdrawals only. If you opened an account prior to this, you'll have until September 8, 2025 to withdraw your funds form the platform. After the deadline, any remaining crypto will automatically be converted into CAD and held unless Uphold is required to surrender it according to Canadian unclaimed property laws.

No. Uphold doesn't support bank transfer deposits or withdrawals in Canada. Customers could previously transfer into their Uphold accounts via debit, credit, Apple Pay or Google Pay and withdraw certain cryptos to external wallets. However, Uphold customers in some countries like the US and UK can make bank transfers.
