What is WazirX?
WRX is the native utility token of the WazirX exchange. Traders on the WazirX platform can get a discount on their trading fees using WRX tokens and participate in governance. According to QZ, WazirX started as a cryptocurrency exchange for India where traders can buy digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple. It launched a WazirX peer-to-peer solution which means users can convert fiat currency to cryptocurrency instantly, with WazirX acting as a safekeeper for the transaction. It's reported it gets most of its revenue from trading fees as traders pay between 0.1% and 0.2% in fees on each trade. It was acquired by Binance in 2019. In April 2021 WazirX announced it will launch a non-fungible tokens (NFT) platform for artists.
