The Wawa® Credit Card comes with a $0 annual fee and you get to earn 25 cents per gallon for the first two months, which roughly comes out to 10% cash back. After that, you earn 5 cents per gallon. This may not seem like much, but you’ll get around 2% cash back if a gallon costs $2.50.
Unfortunately, there is a monthly cap of 100 gallons, which comes down to around $250 spent per month. The rewards you earn on this amount is around $5 each month. After reaching the cap, you won’t earn any rewards. Another downside is that the card doesn’t offer an interest-free period or rewards on other Wawa purchases, even on their hoagies.
All this makes the card worth considering only if you spend up to $250 on gas every month at Wawa gas stations. If you spend more than that, other gas credit cards can get you up to 5% cash back without a monthly cap.
To apply for the card, you must be at least 18 years old and a US resident. If you meet these criteria, here’s how to apply:
Increase your chances of approval with a good to excellent credit score of 670 or higher. However, some cardholders managed to get this card with a fair credit score of 630.
The Wawa® Credit Card comes with a generous 25 cents per gallon at Wawa gas stations during your first two months of card membership. This is the only perk that makes the card worth it.
After that, you earn 5 cents per gallon. This roughly equals to 10% cash back for the first two months and 2% cash back after that. Also, you get to earn rewards only up to your first 100 gallons per month.
But if you buy more gas than that, this card won’t do you any good. If you buy more than 100 gallons per month or if you want a higher rewards rate on your gas purchases, consider other gas credit cards.
