How to watch Peacock without a smart TV
You've got a few ways to get streaming with NBC's new platform.
Users can watch Peacock on a variety of devices that include laptops or smartphones. But what if you want to watch the new Psych 2: Lassie Come Home on your home’s big screen?
Some smart TVs or Android TV-enabled models let you install the Peacock app directly. Even if you don’t have a smart TV or your model is not supported, you can enjoy your favorite shows in style on other devices. Though one common way to stream to your TV via your laptop with a HDMI cable isn’t currently available to Peacock users.
Stream Peacock with Chromecast
You can use Google Chromecast to stream Peacock from your iOS or Android mobile device to a TV:
- Set up the Peacock app on your device and create an account.
- Connect and set up a Chromecast device on your TV.
- Browse or search for a movie or TV show you want to watch, open the video and tap on the Chromecast icon near the top corner of your screen.
- Choose your TV from the list of available devices.
Stream Peacock via Apple TV
Peacock is also compatible with Apple TV. Download and install the Peacock app to the device, log in to your account and start watching. See our step-by-step guide on setting up Peacock on your Apple TV.
Watch Peacock on your Xbox game console
Peacock is also compatible with Xbox One S and Xbox One X. To get it, go to the homescreen on your Xbox and access the Store. In the Apps section, select Peacock or search for it if you don’t see it from the get-go. Then select Install.
Watch Peacock with Xfinity
Peacock works seamlessly with Comcast Xfinity X1 and Comcast Xfinity Flex. To get it, press the Xfinity button on your Xfinity voice remote, and then press the right arrow to go to the Apps menu and use the arrow buttons to get to Peacock. Alternatively, you can say “Peacock” into your voice remote.
