You can install the Disney+ app on your Apple TV and enjoy The Mandalorian, the latest Marvel flicks and classic films from Disney’s massive library.
Here’s how to set up and use Disney+ on your Apple TV.
You can install the Disney+ app on fourth- or fifth-generation Apple TV devices.
The most recent Apple TV — released in September 2017 — supports 4K content, so you can watch the Disney+ library at a higher resolution if your TV supports it. Previous generation Apple TVs support HD content, so you can still enjoy big-screen viewing.
Launch the App Store on your Apple TV and search for the Disney+ app. Once you’ve found the app, click the “Install” button using your Apple TV remote.
Once the app is installed you can launch it. If you have already created a Disney+ account, you can log in and head straight to step 4.
If you haven’t already set up an account, you can do so from the app.
Disney+ is offering a free seven-day trial if you want to try before you buy, so you can sample the service before committing. After your first free week, you can sign up for a subscription for $6.99 per month, and if you’re really committed to Disney+, you can get a full year’s access for $69.99.
Once your account is set up, you can log in through the Apple TV app and start browsing Disney+’s extensive library. This includes classic and re-imagined Disney hits, Pixar animations, most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars including an upcoming series Obi-Wan Kenobi, and documentaries from National Geographic.
Once you’re logged in and have chosen your preferred viewing fare, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
