The basics

The Victoria’s Secret Angel Card offers more benefits than many other store cards.

You’ll get Angel status in the Victoria’s Secret rewards program as soon as you’re approved for the card. With enough points earned, you could reach Angel VIP or Angel Forever status, each offering more perks.

How good are the rewards?

Angel or Angel VIP members earn a strong 4% rewards rate. Angel Forever members earn an excellent 6% rewards rate.

This means the Victoria’s Secret Angel Card can be superior to a cashback card in eligible stores.

The card makes most sense rewards-wise if you spend at least $250 a year on eligible purchases. Points are redeemable once you reach 250 points. Read more below on how points work.

There’s more to the card than points

Even if you reach 250 points only occasionally, the card could still be useful. One notable benefit is the birthday gift, which is usually a $10-off coupon on an eligible purchase.

Another great feature is free shipping on non-clearance bras. This could save you quite a bit, as a $40 to $50 online order typically comes with shipping of $8.99.

Where can I use my Victoria’s Secret Angel Card?

This is a store card valid only at these locations:

  • Victoria’s Secret website.
  • Victoria’s Secret stores in the US.
  • PINK stores in the US.
  • Bath & Body Works stores.

You won’t earn rewards on Bath & Body Works spending, and the card isn’t valid at the Bath & Body Works website.

The perks

  • No annual fee.
You’ll pay zero fees to own the card.
  • Signup bonus: $15 off your first purchase.
This discount is valid on the first in-store or online purchase made with your card.

After you’re approved for the card, you’ll also receive The Little Book of Exclusive Perks — a collection of discounts — within 10 business days. According to Victoria’s Secret, you’ll find up to $65 in savings.

  • Rewards: 1x points on all eligible purchases.
Earn 1 point per dollar spent at Victoria’s Secret and PINK stores in the US, and at the Victoria’s Secret website. When you earn 250 points, they’ll be redeemed automatically and you’ll earn an Angel Reward.

There’s no limit on the points you can earn.

Pro tip: Avoid losing your rewards

Remember these expiration policies so you can avoid losing your hard-earned rewards:

  • Points expire 12 months after you earn them.
  • Angel Rewards expire 90 days after they’re issued.

You’ll typically receive your Angel Rewards in the mail within three to six weeks. This eats into the time you have to use them, so consider having a purchase in mind beforehand.

You can receive your Angel Rewards via email. To request this, call the number on the back of your card and speak to a representative.

  • Triple Points days.
Depending on your status tier, you can choose one to three days during which you’ll earn triple points on your Victoria’s Secret Angel Card purchases.

You can make purchases first and designate your Triple Point days afterward. Just call 844-392-6435 within 90 days.

  • Bra benefits.
Earn triple points on bra purchases. Also, get free shipping on non-clearance bras when you use the promo code JUST4ANGELS.
  • Birthday gift.
This is usually a $10 discount on a purchase. Use your Victoria’s Secret Angel Card to pay for your purchase to use this gift.

Earn 1,000 points within a 12-month rolling period to reach Angel Forever status. You’ll receive a bonus gift every year in addition to perks from Angel and Angel VIP statuses.

What bonus gift will I get with Angel Forever status?

The bonus gift may change from year to year. But here’s an example to whet your appetite: In October 2017, the Angel Forever gift was a three-piece travel case.

  • Select your card design.
As you apply for the card, you can choose between two card designs: the VS Angel Card and PINK Angel Card.

What to watch out for

  • Valid only at Victoria’s Secret, PINK and Bath & Body Works.
This is a store card not affiliated with a major card network like Visa or Mastercard. It’s only valid at US Victoria’s Secret and PINK stores, the Victoria’s Secret website and Bath & Body Works stores.
  • High APR.
Regardless of your credit score, you’ll get a 27.24% variable purchase APR. Carrying a balance month to month can eat into your rewards.

Bottom line

If you spend at least $250 a year at Victoria’s Secret and affiliated stores, this card could offer excellent rewards. You’ll also like the birthday gift and free shipping on non-clearance bras.

If you’ll rarely use your Victoria’s Secret Angel Card, consider other cashback cards.
