What can I buy at Verizon?

Verizon, of course, sells a variety of cell phone and mobile plans which include data, talk and text.

It also sells cell phones, tablets and cell phone and tablet accessories like headphones, chargers, cases, external battery banks and speakers.

Check out Verizon’s collection of tech car accessories and wearable tech like Apple Watches as well. It often offers prices lower than its competitors.

It seems impossible to find a mobile phone carrier that can do it all with great coverage for a great price. I can’t compare Verizon to any other brand, because I’ve been with the company since I got my first cell phone at age 16. I have a nagging “grass is greener” feeling that I could be getting a better deal elsewhere. And with two iPhones on unlimited talk and text coming to more than $200 a month after taxes and fees, I’m sure I could.

I live in a rural part of California that gets poor cell service. Verizon has the best coverage in the area, though that’s not saying much — I needed to purchase a cell phone booster that runs through my Internet to boost my signal to four bars inside my house.

Also, I traveled to Australia earlier this year and was disappointed with the $10-a-day roaming package, which offered unreliable service compared to a SIM card.

Verizon’s packages are designed to keep you on them. I’m on the subscription plan for the iPhone, which means if I want to switch, I’ll have to pay the remaining balance on the phone plus switching fees.

The inertia is strong, and these companies know it. But the next time I get a chance, I’ll check out a lower-cost competitor to compare my options.

Bottom line

Whether you’re shopping for tech accessories or looking for a fast and reliable wireless network, you’ll love Verizon.
