What is Verge?
Verge (XVG) is a decentralized cryptocurrency network with a stringent focus on security and privacy. Verge intends to allow everyday users to make blockchain transactions that are completely untraceable and invisible using its optional Wraith Protocol.
The network also supports stealth addressing, which creates a one-time address that can only be accessed by the address recipient. Much of Verge’s privacy measures are focused on obscuring IP addresses when sending and receiving funds.
Through a Tor or i2P wallet, users can quickly and easily send encrypted transactions and communications on the Verge network. This essentially involves running encrypted transactions through a chain of Tor relays in a randomly selected way. On the way, the encrypted wrapper of each transaction is only decoded just enough for a Tor relay to identify the previous link in the chain and the next one, then each relay will re-wrap the transaction before sending it on.
XVG is the native token of the Verge network and is used to execute public and private transactions.
