History of VeeFriends Collection

VeeFriends is a 2021 NFT project developed by entrepreneur and crypto celebrity Gary Vaynerchuk. The collection intends to reshape the way the public understands and accesses NFTs and their associated communities. The VeeFriends collection comprises 10,255 VeeFriends tokens spread among 268 characters drawn and conceived by Vaynerchuk. The characters are built off admirable human traits that are vital to success in life, such as the Joyous Jellyfish and Insightful Irish Terrier.

The project’s creator, Gary Vaynerchuk, began his career as a wine critic before founding restaurant reservation software Resy. Since becoming a multi-millionaire, Vaynerchuk has expanded into public speaking and promoting cryptocurrencies. In fact, Vaynerchuk owns one of the most expensive NFTs on the market – a CryptoPunk avatar he bought for US$3.7 million in July 2021.

How to buy on OpenSea

  4. Buy your NFT
When you're ready to make your purchase, click the "Buy Now" button on the specific NFT you're interested in. OpenSea will show you the total cost, including fees, and after purchasing be sure to approve the transaction in your MetaMask wallet.

Evaluating VeeFriends Collection

VeeFriends intends to be more than just a token representing a cute, hand-drawn character. All investors in the VeeFriends collection get access to a unique token that grants them access to a number of events involving Gary Vaynerchuk. These include online seminars, competitions, marketing ideas and more, spread over multiple years.

The biggest VeeFriends event is known as VeeCon, a multi-day conference focussed on entrepreneurship. VeeFriends token holders are granted a 3-year pass to VeeCon, which expires on 4 May 2024.

The vast majority of VeeFriends characters have 40 associated tokens, although “1 of 1” tokens represent an artwork that only has 1 edition throughout the collection. There are also 1,175 Spectacular tokens, which are exclusive 1-of-1 tokens too.

VeeFriends is built on the Ethereum network.
