If you want numerous options with no medical exam requirements, United Home Life insurance might be the right fit for you. But if lower premiums makes the medical exam worth it to you, take some time to compare other life insurance providers with more traditional offerings.
United Home Life specializes in simplified issue life insurance products, which require no medical exams, bloodwork or physician’s statements. You do have to fill out a short medical questionnaire and have a personal history interview with an underwriter. But if you’re accepted, your policy comes with free riders and a premium that’s guaranteed never to increase.
United Home Life offers five whole life products with a variety of coverage options and customizations. The following whole life policies are available:
United Home Life offers four term life insurance options with no required medical exam and unique options and riders to customize your coverage. All term policies come with a no-cost terminal illness accelerated benefits rider. The following term life policies are available:
United Home Life offers several riders so you can customize your policy, including the following:
United home Life doesn’t offer an online quote system, but with no medical exam or physician’s statements, your policy rate is based mostly on your age and whether or not you’re a tobacco user.
United Home Life charges significantly more for tobacco users. For example, a 35-year-old buying an express issue 30-year term life policy for $25,000 may pay a base rate of $87.50 per year as a non-smoker, where a smoker might pay $176.25 for that same policy. The best way to save on your policy is to quit smoking and reduce other high-risk activities.
United Home Life Insurance is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating and only two customer complaints, as of October 2020. There are no online customer reviews available on any of the typical review sites, which makes it hard to rate the company on its service. The company does have an A- financial stability rating from AM Best, and has been in the insurance business for 71 years.
