You’ve pulled over safely and called your roadside assistance provider. They’ve dispatched a patrol out to you and your EV is being checked over. What happens now? The table below shows some examples of what to expect.<\/p>

The AA and RAC both say that around 80% of breakdowns are fixed at the roadside, meaning you would be able to continue your journey once the patrol has come. Common reasons for callouts include flat batteries, software issues and flat tyres or suspension issues.<\/p>

Let\u2019s take a common scenario for an EV of a battery that has run out of charge. A patrol will usually offer you enough emergency charge to get to the nearest charging point or take you there so you can charge your car yourself.<\/p>
