There are a lot of similarities between the 2 accounts here \u2013 both offer a parent and child\u2019s app and both come with a Mastercard debit card. However, Monzo\u2019s account is designed for 6- to 15-year-olds, while Revolut\u2019s account can be used by children up to the age of 17. <\/p>

Both Monzo and Revolut are licensed UK banks, so deposits of up to \u00a3120,000 are covered by FSCS protection. Revolut has a slightly higher Finder Score than Monzo due to its customisable cards and highly rated app. <\/p>

However, while Monzo lets you open up to 5 kids\u2019 accounts, Revolut only allows you to open 1 \u2013 that\u2019s unless you wish to upgrade your plan from the free standard account to a paid-for plan. <\/p>

When it comes to ATM withdrawals, Revolut offers a slightly higher daily withdrawal limit of \u00a3120 versus Monzo\u2019s \u00a3100. Revolut also gives kids the chance to customise their card with doodles. Monzo doesn\u2019t offer this level of customisation, but children can choose from a neon yellow, pink or blue card. <\/p>

With both options, you can make regular pocket money payments into the account, plus you can send a payment link to friends and relatives so that they can transfer money into the accounts too \u2013 ideal for birthday and Christmas presents. <\/p>

Both also offer interest on savings. However, interest rates for Revolut vary depending on a parent or guardian\u2019s Revolut plan. <\/p>

Neither account offers desktop access, so you\u2019ll need to be happy managing them via the app. <\/p>
