It has been gaining popularity (largely in the US) because of the wide selection of clothes available for competitive prices. <\/p><h3>What do we know about the Shein IPO?<\/h3><p>Shein initially wanted to list in the US, but had difficulties with the regulators. Then it turned to the UK, but has also had problems there. Reports suggests it\u2019s now settled on Hong Kong as the destination for its IPO, due to go public on 1 September with a valuation of about $27 billion. <\/p><h3>Expected date for Shein to go public<\/h3><p>According to a recent filing, Shein\u2019s IPO will take place on 1 September 2026.<\/p><h3>Is Shein profitable?<\/h3><p>In 2025, Shein reportedly generated $41.9 billion in revenue with a net profit of $2.06 billion, reflecting a slowdown in growth compared to previous years. <\/p><p>It\u2019s believed that Shein generated roughly $38 billion in sales during 2024. However, without being public, we can\u2019t know for sure just how accurate these top and bottom line figures are. Once the IPO draws closer, we should be able to get a better idea of Shein\u2019s profitability with more reliable figures.<\/p><h3>Who owns Shein?<\/h3><p>Shein was founded by entrepreneur Chris Xu, and he\u2019s still the primary owner.
