You won&#8217;t be able to do that via Finder. Our reviews show the type of customer contact services providers offer, such as live chat.<\/p><p>If you&#8217;re struggling or are unsure where to turn to, or if you have a complaint about your provider, you can find useful contacts in the list below. We&#8217;ve included organisations that offer money help and support for free. <\/p><h3>Free support<\/h3><p>There are several well established, free sources of money help in the UK, including some specialists in debt help.<\/p><h4>General help with money<\/h4><p><strong>MoneyHelper.<\/strong> This service is provided by the government and has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneyhelper.org.uk\/en\/everyday-money\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> with live chat, and a free helpline: 0800 1387777.<\/p><h4>Help with debt<\/h4><p><strong>MoneyHelper.<\/strong> The government-backed service offers specialist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneyhelper.org.uk\/en\/money-troubles\/dealing-with-debt\/debt-advice-locator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">debt help<\/a> including access to a debt adviser. There&#8217;s also a free helpline: 0800 1387777.<br \/><strong>Citizens Advice<\/strong>. This is also government-backed, and can help you find out if you might be entitled to extra benefits or grants. There&#8217;s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizensadvice.org.uk\/debt-and-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> and helpline: for England it&#8217;s 0800 144 8848 and Wales is 0800 702 2020.<br \/><strong>StepChange.<\/strong> This charity has 30 years of experience providing free, expert debt advice. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stepchange.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> offers advice online, or you can call on 0800 1381111. <\/p><h4>Help with benefits, consumer rights or employment issues<\/h4><p><strong>Citizens Advice. <\/strong> The government-funded organisation runs a network of charities providing advice. There&#8217;s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citizensadvice.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> and helpline: for England it&#8217;s 0800 144 8848 and Wales is 0800 702 2020. <\/p><h3>Complaints<\/h3><p>Your first port of call should always be the provider itself &#8211; ask for its complaints procedure. If you&#8217;re not satisfied with its response to your complaint, you can escalate it. Citizens Advice can help with advice about this (see above).<\/p><p><strong>The Financial Ombudsman.<\/strong> If the company you have a complaint about is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority, you can complain to the Financial Ombudsman if you&#8217;ve exhausted the company&#8217;s internal complaints process. The ombudsman can usually help with complaints about:<\/p><ul><li>Bank accounts, payments and cards<\/li><li>Payment protection insurance (PPI)<\/li><li>Home, car, travel and other types of insurance<\/li><li>Loans and other credit, like car finance<\/li><li>Debt collection and repayment problems<\/li><li>Mortgages<\/li><li>Financial advice, investments and pensions<\/li><\/ul><p>The Financial Ombudsman has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a website <\/a>and a phone number: 0800 0234567.<\/p><h3>Financial advice<\/h3><p><strong>Advisers.<\/strong> You can get free guidance from the sources above, such as MoneyHelper, but if you want advice from a qualified professional, you&#8217;ll need to pay for it. You can browse advisers on sites such as Unbiased, or you could consider a well-known provider such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/share-trading\/hargreaves-lansdown-review\">Hargreaves Lansdown.<\/a><\/p><h3>Other sources<\/h3><p>There are loads of providers of loans, mortgages and other forms of credit, and you can compare lots of them on Finder. Below, we&#8217;ve listed a few sources, but you&#8217;ll find many more in our guides and comparisons.<\/p><h4>Loans<\/h4><p><strong>Loan eligibility check<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/partners.loanswarehouse.co.uk\/finder\/personal-loans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Checking your eligibility<\/a> for a loan won&#8217;t affect your credit score. Finder has partnered with the broker Loans Warehouse to provide this free eligibility check service.<\/p><h4>Mortgages<\/h4><p><strong>Mortgage eligibility check<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.landc.co.uk\/pmf\/finder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Checking your eligibility <\/a>for a mortgage doesn&#8217;t affect your credit score. Finder has partnered with the broker L&#038;C to provide this free eligibility check service.<article class=\"luna-card luna-card--alt\"><div class=\"luna-card__block has-padding-small\">Think carefully before securing debts against your home.
