The Edge account is its entry level reward account. <\/p><h3>What is the Santander Edge current account?<\/h3><p>The Santander Edge current account is an everyday bank account which allows you to earn cashback on selected household bills. In return, you\u2019ll need to pay a \u00a33 monthly fee to maintain the account and you\u2019ll need to meet certain eligibility criteria. <\/p><p>You can open the account individually or jointly and you can access it online, through the mobile app, via telephone banking or in branch. <\/p><h3>How does it work?<\/h3><p>The Santander Edge account offers the following key features: <\/p><ul><li><strong>Cashback.<\/strong> Earn 1% cashback on selected household bills when you pay by direct debit (up to \u00a310 a month). <\/li><li><strong>Linked savings account.<\/strong> Access to the Santander Edge saver account.<\/li><li><strong>Arranged overdraft.<\/strong> Overdraft option with a rate of 39.94% EAR.<\/li><li><strong>Fee-free spending and withdrawals abroad.<\/strong> You won\u2019t be charged for using your debit card for purchases or cash withdrawals overseas (after the first 3 days of opening the account). <\/li><li><strong>Global support.<\/strong> Access to 12,000 Santander branches in 12 countries.<\/li><li><strong>Call centre support.<\/strong> Access to a 24-hour dedicated call centre for all your banking needs.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Who is it for?<\/h3><p>To open the Santander Edge account you\u2019ll need to be at least 18 years old and permanently live in the UK. You can hold a maximum of 2 Santander Edge current accounts, one in your own name and one in joint names. <\/p><p>To qualify for cashback you must also pay in \u00a3500 a month and have at least 2 active direct debits. <\/p><h3>What are the benefits?<\/h3><p>There are several benefits to opening a Santander Edge account.
