If you have a child younger than 16 years old, Starling also offers a debit card called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/banking\/childrens-banking\/starling-under-16s-debit-card-for-kids\">Starling Under 16s<\/a>, which is connected to a parent or guardian\u2019s current account.<\/p><h3>How to sign up<\/h3><p>Signing up for the Starling teen account can be completed in around 5 minutes \u2013 just follow the steps below:<\/p><ul><li>Download the Starling bank app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store<\/li><li>Enter your phone number and the verification code you\u2019ll be sent<\/li><li>Create an account by entering your name, date of birth, email address and current home address<\/li><li>Verify who you are by recording a short selfie video and taking a photo of your passport ID<\/li><\/ul><h3>Is the Starling teen account safe?<\/h3><p>Starling is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the PRA.
