For example, they can set one for treats, one for toys, or one for food. It can be used for their expenses as well as to learn how to save. <\/p><p>A Hyperjar Kids Card must always be \u201cpaired\u201d to an adult or parent account. So you will need to set up an account for yourself in order to send funds to your child\u2019s account. However, they will have their own card. <\/p><p>If they have their own phone, they can download the app to their device, but they will need to link it to your adult account. <\/p><p>The card is available for kids aged 6 and over, and comes with a number of features that allow you to keep an eye on how they use the money and teach them about personal finance. Once they turn 13, they can have their own HyperJar teenager card instead and pay using Apple Pay or Google Pay. If your child has a smartphone, when they download the app, they will be asked to link it to their adult\u2019s account.<\/p><h4 id=\"notifications-hyperjar\">Instant notifications<\/h4><p>As their parent, you can track exactly what your child has spent and where. Notifications will go to both your app and your child\u2019s.<\/p><h4 id=\"parental-control-hyperjar\">Full parental control<\/h4><p>Unlike with a standard children\u2019s bank account, you are in charge. This means you can set spending limits for your kid\u2019s jars directly from the app. You can also schedule payments for pocket money.<\/p><h4 id=\"digital-jars\">Save and spend from digital jars<\/h4><p>You can set up different digital jars for spending or saving purposes. For example, your child might have one savings jar for a new videogame and another to put aside money for their next holiday.<\/p><h4 id=\"custom-jars\">Custom jars<\/h4><p>Your child can personalise their jars with colours, emojis and photos.<\/p><h4 id=\"jar-sharing\">Jar sharing with friends and family<\/h4><p>Your child can even create shared jars with family and friends so they can plan ahead for days out together. If grandparents also hold a HyperJar account they can share jars with their grandchild to transfer money across.<\/p><h4 id=\"fee-free-hyperjar\">Fee-free spending abroad<\/h4><p>Your child won\u2019t be charged for using their HyperJar card abroad.<\/p><h4 id=\"age-restricted-hyperjar\">Age-restricted sales<\/h4><p>Your child\u2019s card won\u2019t work at bars or pubs, or other adult related establishments.<\/p><h3>How much does HyperJar Kids Card cost?<\/h3><p>You\u2019ll need to pay \u00a34.99 for the card itself, but after that there are no monthly fees. There are also no fees for spending on the card, including transactions abroad.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/banking\/childrens-banking\/hyperjar-kids-card-review\">HyperJar for adults<\/a>, which you\u2019ll need in order to get a Kids Card, is also free to sign up to and use.
