This means that they\u2019ve both got offerings suitable for both beginner and intermediate investors. IG also offers riskier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/cfd-trading\">contracts for difference (CFDs)<\/a>, but as interactive investor doesn\u2019t offer these, we won\u2019t be comparing this feature. <\/p><p>Both providers have very similar offerings, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/stocks-and-shares-isas\">individual savings accounts (ISAs)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/pensions\/self-invested-personal-pensions\">self-invested personal pensions (SIPPs)<\/a> and general investment accounts.<\/p><p>The main difference between the <\/table><\/div><p>IG and interactive investor are similar providers when you look at the key statistics. They both offer ISAs and are protected by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/banking\/what-is-the-fscs\">Financial Services Compensation Scheme<\/a> (FSCS), which means your deposits are covered by up to \u00a3120,000 if either provider <strong>were to go bust<\/strong>. This doesn\u2019t pay out if your investments don\u2019t perform well. <\/p><p>Having axed its trading commissions, IG wins hands down on costs. Note that it does charge an inactivity fee after a year without trades.<\/p><p>In our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/share-trading\/finder-share-dealing-customer-satisfaction-awards-2022\">2021 customer satisfaction survey<\/a>, interactive investor\u2019s customers thought that it was easy to use and had good customer service. Some of its customers felt that it was well priced, while others thought the structure didn\u2019t work for them. <\/p><p>IG\u2019s customers praised its excellent customer service and found it to be inexpensive and easy to use. This means that you can\u2019t start to withdraw until you turn 55, but you get some great tax advantages. <\/p><p>Neither product has the ability to invest in a lifetime ISA (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.finder.com\/uk\/savings-accounts\/lifetime-isas\">LISA<\/a>). These lets you save up to \u00a34,000 per year for your first home or for retirement.
