This is almost seven times the price of a 5-star hotel in the city-state (\u00a3385 on <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">average).<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luxembourg is the destination with the largest difference in price between a night in hospital <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and at a 5-star hotel. A night in a luxury hotel here costs \u00a3117 on average &#8211; almost 12 times <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">more than a hospital charge of \u00a31,360 per day.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The other priciest countries for a hospital bed are Norway, which is \u00a31,007, compared to \u00a3248 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">for a 5-star hotel and Qatar, where a hospital stay costs \u00a3938 compared to \u00a3138 for a top <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hotel.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even Britain&#8217;s most popular holiday destinations have significant hospital charges. Staying the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">night in a Spanish hospital would cost \u00a3332, in France it&#8217;s \u00a3428 and in the USA it costs \u00a3482.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For those travelling to the UK without insurance or Ehic cover, a night in one of our hospitals <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">would cost \u00a3423, making it the 23rd most expensive hospital bed in the world.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The findings come as a timely reminder to Brits who are preparing for summer holiday <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">season.
