The Christmas break has been and gone (sad times) but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to look forward to…

So get prepped for the annual January sales and grab yourself a right bargain. Whether it’s new electricals, beauty buys or clothes you’re after, we’ve rounded up the categories you should keep your eye on this new year.

What to buy in the January sales

1. TVs

In need of a new telly? The January sales are a fabulous time to get yourself a bargain after the Christmas hype. Amazon is offering £80 off the JVC Fire 4K Ultra HD TV, down from £379 to £298. Currys also has some great deals, with 40% off over 1,000 products, including a whopping £950 off the LG 4K Ultra HD OLED TV with Google Assistant. Don’t forget to check Very for electricals as well, with its offering of £100 off the Samsung 55 Inch Curved Ultra HD model.

2. Mobile phones

Another great purchase from the January sales could be a new mobile phone. But will it be iPhone or Samsung? The choice is yours. While you’re unlikely to find any deals on the latest iPhone 11 Pro, the iPhone 11 is in the Very sale at £759, down from £779. But if you’re not an Apple fan, John Lewis can save you £100 on the Samsung Galaxy S10 and eBay is offering up to 37% off refurbished smartphones including brands like Apple, Samsung, Google and Sony.

3. Laptops

There’s always someone in the family who needs a new laptop, so take advantage of the fantastic January deals while you can. Save £180 on the Lenovo IdeaPad with Currys, or opt for the 15% off everything offer at Acer. Very is also advertising up to £134 off the latest Apple Macbook Air with retina display.

Winter is renowned for taking its toll on your skin, which means the January sales are the perfect time to stock up on beauty redemption treatments. Prefer being sent a beauty surprise every month?
