So we inventoried all of the features, tested them, and had outside users test them to see who provided the best interaction. The first interaction most users have with a provider is its website or app. Making these easy to use with great visual aesthetics signal to users that they matter — because you do.
To begin, we researched each of the providers, took note of what they offered and gauged how easy it is to find their features. We awarded points for offering helpful tools like live chat and mobile apps or minimizing documentation that might hold up the sign-up process.Keeping you in the loop is important when sending money. That’s why we completed live transfers to see how customers are updated about the status of their money. We followed up our research with real insights from 39 independent users who send money transfers overseas — because what kind of user experience rating would this be without real users?
We partnered with Usertesting.com to have participants sign up with each provider and rate their interactions. They let us know if providers were zero or hero on a scale of 1 to 5 based on ease of signing up and inputting transfer details, clarity of information, ease of site use, appearance of credibility, visual aesthetics and the likelihood of returning to the service. We translated these stats into ratings that let you know what you can expect next time you send money overseas.
