I’m interested in your £1.50pm sim only deal as I don’t want to use any data but how do I keep the number I already have?
Hi Eric,
Thanks for getting in touch. I hope all is well with you. 😃
Just a quick note Eric, you have reached Finder, a comparison website. We don’t represent Lycamobile. With that being said, you can keep your number even after switching to a new provider. What you need to do is get in touch with your current provider and request a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC). This is a numerical code that you must then give to your new provider. Please note that the PAC is only valid for 30 days.
I hope this helps. Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach us out again.
Have a wonderful day!
Cheers,
Joshua

I am going for 22 days to PERU, BOLIVIA, ARGENTINA & BRAZIL and want a Data Pack mainly, though some calls to and from uk would be useful but not essential. Can you recommend a suitable provider and alternatives.
Thank you.
Hi Hari,
Thanks for getting in touch with finder.
When going to Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Brazil, you need may want to consider buying a local SIM instead. From there, you can explore the different data packages of each local carriers.
Unfortunately, we don’t have a page that lists your options. However, we have the following pages on our US finder website:
– Traveling to Peru? Here’s our guide to finding the best prepaid SIM card
– A guide to finding the best prepaid SIM card when traveling to Brazil
– A guide to finding the best prepaid SIM card when traveling to Bolivia
– A guide to finding the best prepaid SIM card when traveling to Argentina
Since most of these countries have almost the same telco providers, you might be able to use a single SIM even when you change your location.
I hope this helps. Should you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach us out again.
Have a wonderful day!
Cheers,
Joshua
