Where to buy Mithril in the UK
It looks like MITH may not be available to purchase on an exchange in the UK.
You can still purchase MITH by using a decentralised exchange (DEX) instead. Decentralised exchanges are web applications that run on blockchains like Ethereum and allow users to trade any asset directly with one another.
Decentralised exchanges (DEX) are unregulated and run using autonomous pieces of code known as smart contracts. To use a DEX you must interact with the blockchain directly, which is not recommended for novice users. Please learn about decentralised exchanges first if you're unfamiliar.
How to purchase MITH using a decentralised exchange.
- Find MITH on a decentralised exchange and make sure Mithril can be traded for ETH which is the native asset of Ethereum. Popular DEXs include Uniswap, SushiSwap and 1INCH.
- Buy ETH to trade for MITH using an exchange like CoinJar. You will need to purchase enough ETH to swap for MITH as well as ETH to pay for transaction fees on the Ethereum network (known as gas). You can use a service like Etherscan to get an idea of how much gas fees currently cost.
- Transfer the ETH into a web 3.0 wallet like MetaMask to connect to the DEX.
- Trade ETH for MITH on the DEX of your choice, following the instructions on screen. Make sure to leave enough ETH in your wallet to pay for gas.
- Wait for the transaction to finalise and the MITH tokens will arrive in your wallet.
- You may now keep the tokens in your web 3.0 wallet or transfer them somewhere more secure like a hardware wallet.
You can follow the same process when you want to sell your tokens, or come back to this page to see if they can now be traded on an exchange in the UK.
Best Mithril wallets to store your MITH
You can keep your MITH on the exchange you purchased it on, or move it to a personal wallet:
- Some people like to use their own wallets to guarantee total ownership over their assets, or to use them with other applications like DeFi services.
- Hardware wallets are typically considered to be the safest type of cryptocurrency wallet, as they use a physical device to enhance security in a number of ways. You can take a look at some of our top hardware wallet picks for self-custody of your MITH below.

Is Mithril a good investment?
Not only are cryptocurrencies notoriously volatile, often experiencing substantial price fluctuations in as little as 24 hours, but they’re also quite complicated assets. If you’re thinking of buying any MITH tokens, make sure you carefully consider the factors that could potentially influence the value of these tokens in the future.
You should take the following issues into account:
- Use-case: You will be able to use MITH tokens across the Mithril application ecosystem, including apps such as dating services, premium content channels and live-stream applications. The tokens are also designed to be accepted throughout the Mithril Merchant Network as a payment method, beginning with retailers in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Dating platform Minni Interactive was announced as the first app partner to join the Mithril ecosystem in 2018.
- Token distribution: As outlined in the Mithril white paper, 35% of the total pool of tokens will be available for social mining rewards. The proportion of these 350 million tokens available for discovery will be halved annually over the course of a predetermined, but unspecified number of years.
- Adoption: The Mithril team’s first goal is to integrate MITH into all major social networks. This is an ambitious aim to say the very least, and the team’s ability to form partnerships with a range of platforms will be crucial to the future value of MITH. Considering the massive userbase of social media apps like Facebook, Instagram and Reddit, tapping into these communities would be a huge coup for the Mithril project.
Today's Mithril price versus ATH
Compare today's price of Mithril ($0.00205178 USD) against its all-time-high price of $3.82 USD on 12 April 2018. The closer the bar is to 100%, the closer MITH is to reaching its ATH again.
ATH date: April 12, 2018
Mithril ATH: $3.82
