What is Harley Medic International?

Harley Medic International describes itself as a global leader in medical testing. It provides testing services to large and small businesses, and individuals. Services include COVID testing, support with visa applications, document verification, and medical checks for visas. Its stated aim is to make travelling easier.

Harley Medic International is currently on the government’s list of COVID test providers.

What types of COVID tests can I get from Harley Medic International?

Harley Medic International is offering PCR fit to fly tests, antigen (lateral flow) tests, Test to Release (for day 5, and only in England) tests and day 2 and day 8 tests. All apart from the PCR fit to fly and day 5, can be done at home. The antigen test is ordered through Harley Medic International’s subsidiary, Official Rapid Tests.

Alternatively, you can visit one of its clinics for a PCR fit to fly, day 5 and day 2 and day 8 tests. You can use the website to select your nearest centre to book an appointment, but just note that the specific tests on offer tend to vary between clinics, as do the prices, so it’s wise to double check before you book.

What is Harley Medic International’s refunds policy?

General bookings can be rearranged free of charge, where available. Cancelled bookings will incur a £50 cancellation fee, or 100% if you fail to give notice within 48 hours of the appointment.

Harley Medic International customer reviews

As of September 2021, Harley Medic has 4.4 out of 5 on the reviews site Trustpilot, based on almost 400 reviews. Customers praised the speed of its service, communication and professionalism.

However, we saw 4 reviews with a worrying theme: these claimed that the company had said it would give a refund requested by the user only if they deleted a negative review.

Are Harley Medic International tests accurate?

While no COVID test can be 100% accurate, Harley Medic International boasts a 99.9% accuracy on its fit to fly tests. Being on the government’s list means it meets the minimum requirements for safety and performance. Harley Medic partners with local providers for some of its clinic tests and lab processing.

How long does it take to get results from Harley Medic International?

Its PCR fit to fly test has 12 to 48 hour result options available, the antigen test boasts results confirmation in under 6 hours and the company says day 2 and day 8 tests take 24-48 hours once they’ve reached the lab.

Pros and cons of Harley Medic International

Pros
  • Government-listed COVID test provider
  • Discount for day 2 and day 8 package
Cons
  • Inconsistent pricing
  • No available refund policy
  • Some worrying Trustpilot reviews (although many positive ones, too)

Our verdict: Is Harley Medic International any good?

Harley Medic’s website is a headache and prices at clinics seem to depend on the location of the centre. However, there are quite a few positive reviews about the service and turnaround times. If you want a test in a clinic and can find exactly what you’re looking for nearby with an affordable price, it should be a fairly straightforward process.
