In this guide, we’ll explore the level of cover offered by Debenhams Gadget Insurance.

Types of cover available

Debenhams offers tailored policies aimed at individuals, businesses and students. It also offers Home Gadget Bundle Covers, allowing you to cover up to 10 of your family’s gadgets in one policy. The cover is arranged by a company called Taurus Insurance Services.

With standard cover, you’ll be covered in the following scenarios:

  • Cover for accessories up to £150
  • Overseas cover for 120 days per year

Cover limits

In order to be covered by Debenhams Gadget Insurance, your item must be in working condition and no more than 36 months old. It must have been purchased in the UK. You’ll need to provide proof of purchase to successfully make a claim.

Claims process

You’ll make a claim via the claims portal on the Debenhams Gadget Insurance website. Here, you’ll fill out an outline form, explaining various details about the item and the incident that led to the claim.

In the case of a theft or a loss, you’ll need to inform the police and your network provider (if applicable).

In the case of damage, you’ll need to send the gadget to Debenhams for repairs. If the item is deemed irreparable, you’ll be sent a replacement within 24 hours. All replacements come with a 12-month warranty.

You’ll need to pay your excess before the repairs or replacement process begins.

There are no limits on the number of claims you can make.

You can make changes to your policy by calling 0330 880 1733 or sending an email to gadget.sales@debenhamsgadgetinsurance.com.
