Which airlines fly to Barcelona?
Holidaymakers for Barcelona should go to the Barcelona-El Prat Airport. Airlines flying directly from the UK are: British Airways, Vueling Airlines, easyJet, Ryanair, Norwegian Air International, Norwegian, Monarch and Jet2.
KLM, Lufthansa, Iberia, Air France, SWISS, Aer Lingus, TAP Portugal, Air Berlin, Brussels Airlines, Alitalia, eurowings, SAS, Austrian Airlines, Air Europa, Finnair, Aegean Airlines, WOW air, Blue Air, Smart Wings, Luxair, Turkish Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Czech Airlines, Icelandair and Bulgaria Air also fly to Barcelona, but not directly from the UK.
What airport transfer options are available?
The L9 Sud metro line connects the airport by with the Fira, Parc LogÃstic and Mercabarna areas. For rail travel to areas further away, look at getting on the LÃnea R2 Norte which serves areas such as El Prat de Llobregat, Granollers, Sant Celoni and Maçanet-Massanes.
Metropolitan buses also serve the airport, connecting Barcelona and surrounding areas with the airport. For travel to other areas of Catalunia and Andorra, look to get a ticket for interurban buses. Both these services depart from terminals 1 and 2.
As with most airports, taxis are available from all terminals.
What car hire options are available?
Many car hire companies have offices in the Barcelona-El Prat Airport, with cars that can be booked in advance or upon arrival. Given the popularity of Barcelona as a holiday destination, it may be a good idea to book in advance – particularly during the summer. Available companies are: Hertz, Europcar, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Avis, Sixt and Goldcar Rental. These are all present at terminals T1 and T2 B.
